Pine Ridge was started in May 1965 as a Mission of  Mount Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Pope as the Pastor. They first met in a block building located on old Hwy. 35. Later, the church purchased one acre of land from Carl Pendergrass, who also donated one acre of land to the church. The present church auditorium was built and the

first service was held August 11th 1968, under the direction of Rev. Erby Shankles.

Through the thoughts and prayers of a few dedicated families, the church is now enjoying countless blessings, growth and prosperity. Since May 1991 the congregation has been under the direction of Rev. Jerry Dudley and has experienced tremendous growth. Along with the past blessings, the Lord has allowed for renovation to the auditorium, new office spaces, fellowship hall  and a Christian Life Center, as well as, the beginning of many new programs.
